The Kingsport Osteopathic Clinic is looking for an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner graduate who would be willing to work in rural Nova Scotia for a minimum of two years beginning in September 2018. There will be a 3 month probationary period during which time both parties will have an opportunity to evaluate the status of the position. The contract may be extended if all parties are amenable to the terms of renewal following the fulfillment of the original agreement. Wages will be $45.00- $75.00/ hour (commensurate with experience) with a minimum of 30 hours per week. The well-established and busy Halifax Osteopathic Health Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia is looking for an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner to join out multidisciplinary team. This is a permanent, full time position with a developed case load.
We are looking for a fully qualified practitioner with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in clinical practice and is a member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners and/or The Nova Scotia Association of Osteopaths. We have a growing clientele with women’s health and pre- and post-natal related issues. Therefore, strong diagnostics skills and interest treating within this category is strongly desired. We are also looking for a practitioner with excellent skills in cranial, pediatrics and visceral osteopathic manipulative techniques.
These include the ability to clearly communicate with other health professionals both verbally and in writing and understand the benefits of a multi-disciplinary team approach when working with patients; diagnosing disorders and injuries of the musculoskeletal, circulatory, nervous, visceral system and treating patients with osteopathic manipulative therapy.
Master or Bachelors in Osteopathy from a reputable university. We do accept applicants with college qualifications in osteopathy whose school may not have been eligible to offer a degree.
