The International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine (IJOM)

The International Journal for Osteopathic Medicine (IJOM) is the official research journal for the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners and Osteopathy BC, as well as international societies including the UK, Australia, Germany, and Sweden.

The journal is peer-reviewed and aims to publish a broad scope of high-quality research articles and review papers representing the diverse practice and science of osteopathy. Subjects include basic science research, clinical epidemiology, and health social science in relation to osteopathy and neuromusculoskeletal medicine in both qualitative and quantitative designs.

The Editorial Board encourages critical evaluation, discourse, and debate on any aspect of osteopathy and neuromusculoskeletal medicine. Manuscripts include original research, reviews, and commentaries. Articles are subject to a blinded review process.

The IJOM encourages submissions generally and through special editions. Details can be found through the journal website.

This survey study is an international collaboration with the UK, Australia, and Sweden and part of a series of studies from the EBASE group. It provides an understanding of the importance of and use of evidence-based practices in osteopathy in Canada.
